Apollo Black Cherry Auto is a unique autoflowering seed from Seedstockers, which rarely appear with such unique flavours, such heavy yields, and THC levels consistently above 20%. With a rich, deep, sweet black cherry flavour, this strain has an exclusive terpene profile that simply never gets old! The hybrid indica/sativa genetics are easy to grow in a variety of conditions. Most phenotypes will lean slightly towards the sativa side, which includes some degree of stretch during flowering, as well as densely stacked flowers. The genetic heritage of the original Apollo 13 sativa is apparent in the bud structure, but they are as solid as any indica. In colder flowering conditions, especially with the indica-leaning phenotypes, you may see beautiful purple and blue hues on the buds as harvest approaches.

It's possible to notice cherry soda aromas even at the start of flowering. As harvest approaches, the grow room will have a nose-tingling aroma of sweet red fruits and wild cherries. You'll love breaking open the buds and sharpening your senses with the smell of a freshly poured cherry cola. The fruity/cherry aroma of the dried buds is the same as when they were on the plant, close to harvest. As the cure progresses, you may notice notes of sweet, ripe plum.

Apollo Black Cherry Autoflower seeds grow well in a wide range of conditions. She's not fussy about feeding, but when in full vigour, she can have a big appetite. The giant flowers and long life cycle require sufficient nutrients. If you find the nutrient sweet spot (without overfeeding or underfeeding), you can expect truly heavy autoflowering yields. An extra dose of Potassium and Phosphorus during flowering can promote larger yields and potency.

Yield and Life Cycle

Most plants tend to start flowering after 4-4.5 weeks. A light cycle of 20/4 is recommended (20 hours of light followed by 4 hours of darkness). This is genuine XL yield genetics. To get the most out of her, you may want to allow plants about 13 weeks from seed to harvest, with occasional plants needing up to 15 weeks. This is a little longer than the average autoflower, but the XXL yields are a serious reward for the patient grower. Her buds are large and rock hard, with a white layer of trichomes. Any underlying purple tones seem to take on a lavender appearance under the dense white resin crystals.

In typical home growing conditions with soil/compost in medium-sized pots, expect yields of around 80-100g. But grow these autoflowering seeds in a hydroponic system with an optimised environment (perhaps with LED grow lights) and you could achieve several hundred grams of highly potent dried buds per plant.

Growing Tips

This high-yielding strain is robust enough to handle topping and/or training. If you're working with limited vertical growing space, you'll find that Apollo Black Cherry Autoflower responds well in a SCROG (screen of green) environment. She will also grow well in smaller containers in a SOG (sea of green) setup. Like all Humboldt X Seedstockers genetics, expect resilient plants that will grow well in diverse conditions and still deliver XL yields. Defoliation may be necessary for some of the bushier indica-leaning phenotypes to allow good airflow through the plant.

The longer life cycle of this sativa-leaning autoflowering genetic can result in plants a bit taller than you're used to. They may not be suitable for those with very small grow rooms, unless you're prepared to train your plants. Outdoor growers may also find that a trellis, screen, or training can be useful for controlling vertical growth, if needed. Just prepare the soil well and select a warm/sunny 4-month period to grow her.

Morphology

There are two main phenotypes to watch out for:

• Phenotype 1: Produces plants that stay under 60 cm tall and don't grow very wide, making them perfect if you have limited space or seek discretion.
• Phenotype 2: Develops many side branches and grows much taller than the first (around 80 cm).

Apollo Black Cherry is a hybrid autoflower with a diverse genetic ancestry, coming from some of the best genetics from the United States and Europe. The Apollo 13 lineage uses a highly respected genetic pool that required delicate and meticulous work to create, with a strong influence from the Jack Herer genetic line. The sativa phenotype was selected to be crossed with Black Cherry Cheesecake and Cherry AK47.

The hybrid phenotype of Black Cherry Cheesecake used comes from an Oregon breeder, USA, and is a stellar cross of Black Cherry Soda, Super Silver Haze, and Cheese. Cherry AK47, in turn, was awarded at the Highlife Cup in 2019 and brings its own strong heritage, representing Dutch breeders as a skunk strain with a rich selection of parentage from Mexico, Thailand, Afghanistan, and Colombia.
